Has Under the Queen’s Umbrella been renewed for season 2?
Netflix and tvN have not renewed Under the Queen’s Umbrella for a follow-up season. Given the ratings over the weeks, it’ll be interesting to see if they actually do renew this for a follow-up season.
The ratings for “The Crown” began with a respectable 7.6% share nationwide, but since then, the show has been steadily increasing, with highs of 14% for episode 14! The ratings have been a real surprise and it’s perhaps unsurprising that these later chapters have been full of drama and intrigue. ..
Despite the high ratings, it is rare for Korean dramas to be renewed for another season. That has changed in recent years, but given the wealth of talent in this field, we predict that Under the Queen’s Umbrella will not be renewed for a second season. ..

What we know about season 2 so far:
There is very little information available about season 2 of Korean dramas, which is likely because most Korean dramas are only aired for one season. Given that this is a rare exception, it’s highly unlikely that the show will be renewed.
We’ve seen Taxi Driver and Tale of the Nine Tailed renewed recently, alongside Alchemy of Souls too. Given how steady the ratings are for this series, could we see this one buck the trend? Right now it seems unlikely.
