What is The Midnight Club about?
The story follows a group of kids as they tell their stories of death, facing it head-on, and the different ways in which it affects them. Along the way, we learn about Brightcliffe, a strange hospice that holds more than a few secrets inside. The mystery at its heart is one of love and loss, and how those things intersect with one’s life.
Ilonka’s journey is one of self-discovery as she comes to terms with her terminal diagnosis and the challenges that come with it. She meets other kids at the hospice who are also facing difficult times, and she begins to build a network of support. Despite the challenges, Ilonka finds joy in life and in the company of her friends.
At Brightcliffe Hospice, Ilonka and the others begin telling each other scary stories while grappling with a mystery inside the institution. ..

Netflix has a number of factors that it takes into account when renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then how often they stop watching it. With some shows, such as Squid Game and Bridgerton, the renewal happens quickly (like Squid Game), while other shows may take months before Netflix makes a decision over their future.
Netflix has ordered a second season of The Midnight Club, which is expected to air in 2019. This new season is expected to continue the story of the group’s journey as they try to find their way back home after being stranded on an uninhabited island.
Despite all of the good that The Midnight Club has done for television, we will not be returning for another season.
What we know about season 2 so far:
Netflix has cancelled the second season of “House of Cards.” However, there’s certainly potential for another season should Netflix decide to pick up the project.
We learned a lot about the cult, saw the origins for who owned Brightcliffe, and saw Ilonka make peace with her own mortality. There are some lovely moments in here and there, but there’s still plenty more scope for a second season to explore this further.
This seems like the end of the road for The Midnight Club though, so we’ll have to wait and see if any other networks decide to pick this up.
