Renewed Or Cancelled?
Despite a bit of a rocky start, Shooting Stars has established itself as a fun weekend rom-com, even if it’s not quite doing the numbers in Korea. The cast is strong and the story is engaging, making it an easy choice for fans of the genre.
The 16 episode k-drama “This Is Us” has been a real rollercoaster ride over the weeks and you may be wondering if this one has been renewed or cancelled. We have not yet decided if the show will continue but we are excited to see what happens in the next few weeks.
What is Shooting Stars Season 1 about?
The show is set in the small town of Gwangju, South Korea and revolves around the love story between a young woman named Jung Seung-hee (Jung Yeon-seok) and a man named Joon Ki-woo (Jung Woo-bin). The show has been met with mixed reactions from viewers for its depiction of Africa but it seems to be doing well overall.
In this story, we follow employees as they work tirelessly to clean up the messes created by stars. They work around the clock to try and make sure that no one is left behind, and that the entertainment world is run smoothly.
Lee Sung-Kyung is the head of the agency’s PR team. Her top client, Gong Tae-Sung (Kim Young-Dae), can do no wrong. The pair happen to have been in high school and college together, where he became Han-Byul’s sworn enemy However, despite bickering about everything together, it would seem that these two are on a path to turn from enemies to lovers.
Has Shooting Stars been renewed for season 2?
tvN has not renewed Shooting Stars for season 2. Given the respectable ratings over the weeks, it will be interesting to see if they actually do renew this for a follow-up. ..
The ratings for “K-drama ‘Reply 1988’ continue to be pretty steady over the past few weeks, with a 1.4% nationwide rating.” This is a weekend k drama against stiff competition, so it’s not surprising that the ratings are this low.
Based on this, we predict that Shooting Stars will not be renewed for a follow-up.

What we know about season 2 so far:
The Korean dramas that are aired on television usually only last for one season. The exception is the Netflix shows, which usually have multiple seasons. It seems unlikely that this one will be renewed.
Despite the potential for a follow-up or spin-off, we’ll have to wait and see if this one is greenlit.
