Pachinko tells the story of two families: the Kims, who are struggling to make a life for themselves in a new land; and the Parkes, who are determined to keep their traditions alive. Along the way, we follow the fortunes of two friends: Park Joon-seok (Lee Jong-suk) and his younger brother, Jang Seung-keun (Jung Woo-bin). Joon-seok is an idealist who believes that through hard work and determination, Koreans can achieve anything they want.
