The Christmas Carol is a classic story that has been told many times. The original story was written by Charles Dickens and it follows the life of Scrooge. Netflix released a new movie called “A Christmas Carol” on November 1st. The movie is based on the classic story by Charles Dickens and stars Oscar-winner Cate Blanchett as the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge. Many people have enjoyed the film, and some are even calling it one of the best movies of 2018. However, there is no word yet on whether or not a sequel is in the works. This is because Netflix does not release sequels to its own movies until after they have been released in theaters. What is Scrooge: A Christmas Carol about?
Ebenezer Scrooge hates Christmas, but when he is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, Scrooge is forced to change his mind. Marley warns Scrooge that he will be visited by three ghosts on Christmas Eve - Ghost of Christmas Past, Ghost of Christmas Present and Ghost of Christmas Future - and that if he doesn’t change his ways by then, he will be doomed to spend eternity in Hell. Scrooge is initially resistant to the idea of changing his ways, but eventually comes to appreciate the holiday season and the friends he has made along the way. The movie ends with Scrooge giving away all of his money and spending time with those he loves most. ..
After a long and difficult journey, Scrooge arrives at the end of his life. He has learned some valuable life lessons and is now a better person because of it.
He is relieved to hear that he still has time to change and so does what he can to make amends with the family and townsfolk that he had badly treated.
Will there be a sequel to Scrooge: A Christmas Carol?
Dickens never intended for a sequel to his classic Christmas story, Scrooge. The novel was originally published in 1843 and did not receive a follow-up until 1894. So, it is highly unlikely that a sequel will be created based on the popular Netflix series.
But, as Dickens himself said, “A Christmas Carol” is a story that can be told only once.
Netflix’s movies are not likely to become the basis for another movie, but you could always check out their stories if you want a continuation of Scrooge’s story.
What could Scrooge: A Christmas Carol 2 be about?
In a sequel to his popular Christmas story, Scrooge may return to his miserly ways if another series of events causes him to hate Christmas. Or the ghost of Scrooge could visit another character, perhaps the grown-up Tiny Tim, if they need a reminder of the importance of generosity and compassion at Christmas time.

When could Scrooge: A Christmas Carol 2 be released?
Netflix has not yet decided whether or not they will make a sequel to A Christmas Carol. However, we are more likely to see another reimagining of A Christmas Carol land on our streaming services instead.
A continuation of Scrooge: A Christmas Carol is unlikely to happen because the Ghost of Christmas Future has already told us that he will not visit us again.
