The drama about a young film student who gets into a toxic relationship with an older man was a big hit with the critics. It currently has a 91 score on Metacritic with reviewers falling all over themselves to extol the virtues of Hogg’s autobiographical film. Personally, I can’t see what all the fuss is about as I found it to be pretentious and slightly dull but if you decide to watch it, you might be in more agreement with the media masses who were awe-inspired by what they saw on screen.

The movie has a good cast, including Michael Cimino (Love, Victor), Zoe Chao (The Afterparty), and Alicia Silverstone (Clueless), so it could be quite a fun watch. That might depend on your tolerance for Rebel Wilson, however, who doesn’t play to everybody’s tastes.
