Thirteen Lives (2022)
In 2018, twelve boys and their soccer team coach became trapped underground when a sudden rainstorm flooded the caves they were exploring. A desperate rescue mission was launched to get everybody out alive but the task was harder than anybody expected. Ron Howard’s new film chronicles the events surrounding this gripping true-life tale that takes place in Northern Thailand. Viggo Mortensen and Colin Farrell star as the British cave divers who took part in the daring mission to save the lives of the young people in peril.

A League Of Their Own: Season 1
The series, “Penny Marshall’s The League,” tells the story of the women’s professional baseball league which was created during World War II to keep sports fans happy and to boost morale. Nick Offerman takes on the coaching role that was played by Tom Hanks in the movie and Abbi Jacobson (who also writes and produces), Chanté Adams, and D’Arcy Carden are among the cast of women taking on the roles of the female baseball players. ..
Moonfall (2022)
The end of the world as we know it has finally arrived. Roland Emmerich returns to the big screen with a new disaster movie, Moonfall, that barely makes an impact on audiences or critics. The plot is implausible and the dialogue is cheesy, but Patrick Wilson and Halle Berry do their best with a script that barely achieves lift-off.

An American Pickle (2020)
Seth Rogen’s character falls into a vat of brine and is preserved for 100 years. When he wakes up from his extended slumber, he discovers a world far different to the one he left behind in 1920. This fish out of vinegar story should have been funny but sadly, it’s all a bit of a chore. Rogen does his best but the movie fails as both a comedy and a satire on modern culture.

Memory (2022)
Liam Neeson stars as the assassin-for-hire whose life is turned upside down when he becomes the target after refusing to complete a job for a criminal organization. Martin Campbell’s movie is better than the recent Blacklight, which I called the ‘action movie equivalent of a budget microwave meal’ in my less than flattering review, but this is still far from Neeson’s or Campbell’s best work. Ironically, given the title, this is one movie you’re destined to forget soon after watching. ..
Dog (2022)
Channing Tatum directs and stars in this road trip movie about two Army rangers, one of which is a dog. While this won’t go down in history as one of the best dog movies of all time, it’s still an enjoyable watch, especially if you’re a fan of Tatum or movies that headline a canine star. Unlike a lot of movies within the doggy genre, this isn’t as mawkish or as heart-tugging as you might expect, so you won’t need very many handkerchiefs when you follow the unlikely twosome’s adventures on the road. ..

Tomb Raider (2018)
Alicia Vikander stars as Lara Croft in this latest adaptation of the popular video game series and it’s far better than the Angelina Jolie movies that came before. It’s a lot closer to the Tomb Raider games as well, with its double-gunned action scenes, puzzle-solving sequences, and actual tomb raiding. Still, if you are a fan of the games, you will be disappointed that Lara never heals herself with magical medipacks, never saves her progress in the film using a floaty blue crystal, and never traps her butler in a mansion refrigerator! Other than those flaws, the movie gets a lot of things right but if you were hoping to see Vikander in a sequel anytime soon, you’re out of luck, as Deadline recently reported the role is to be recast.

Samaritan (2022)
This new superhero movie, “Sly Stallone’s ‘Samaritan’,” is a lower-key affair that stars the actor as a former superhero who has been living anonymously as a garbage collector. When 13-year-old Sam Cleary (Javon “Wanna” Walton) recognises him, he is coaxed out of his seclusion to fight crime in the city. ..
Licorice Pizza (2021)
The pizza is terrible! I’m talking about the ‘food’ rather than the movie, of course, as Paul Thomas Anderson’s comedy/romance/coming-of-age flick is something of a delight, even if it’s not as good as some of his previous works, such as the multi-stranded Magnolia which sits in my personal top 10 of ‘best’ films. Talented young actors Cooper Hoffman and Alana Haim star as the couple experiencing the joys and tribulations of first love and they are surrounded by a starry cast, including Sean Penn, Tom Waits, and Bradley Cooper.

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 is a 2013 American computer-animated comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation and released by Paramount Pictures. It is the sequel to the 2010 animated film Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and the prequel to the 2009 live action film Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. The film was directed by Don Bluth and written by Bluth, Glenn Howerton, and Jeff Pinkner. The story follows Wilbur Wiggum, an orange-hued elephant who has to save his family from being eaten by a group of meatballs led by Professor Fuzzybottom. The meatballs are created when an alien planet crashes into Earth, causing an overpopulation of animals that turns them into meatballs. To prevent the meatballs from eating his family, Wilbur must find and destroy all of the meatballs’ factories before they can create more.
