The Lion King (2019)
The Lion King is a beautifully rendered live-action(ish) re-telling of this story that is sure to please fans of the original. The plot is largely the same, although there are some extra scenes regarding the hyenas and a bizarre spoken version of Scar’s Be Prepared.
The remake of “Kemono Friends” is a beautiful and stunning piece of work. However, the plot does not branch out and expand, which makes it difficult to follow. If you’re a fan of the original anime, then this remake is definitely worth checking out!
Finding Nemo
This Pixar classic is a real life favorite, with its feel-good vibes and memorable one-liners. It’s packed with laughter, and the story is moving.
In this story, we follow Marlin as he struggles to let his son Nemo go and experience the world for himself. Marlin is haunted by a tragedy that happened to his family in the past, and he finds it difficult to let Nemo go. He wants him to have the chance to experience life on his own terms, but he also knows that it won’t be easy.
Nemo is captured by humans in the Great Barrier Reef and taken to Sydney. This coddling backfires when Nemo branches out on his own, capturing humans in the process and becoming a captive.
In search of his son, this timid fish sets out on a journey across the expansive ocean to bring him home. Along the way though Marlin learns the meaning of friendship and how to step outside his comfort zone. This is a wonderful movie armed with a timeless message.
Bambi
The Lion King is a classic Disney movie that essentially found itself usurped by its spiritual successor – The Bambi. Bambi is mostly remembered for an infamous scene involving his Mother (no spoilers for those who haven’t seen it) but the film really encapsulates all the best elements of Disney animation into this joyous picture.
As Bambi grows older, he learns to walk and use his Mother’s lessons to survive the dangers lurking outside the forest. With help from Thumper and Flower, Bambi becomes a strong and independent young man.

The family is always there for him, even when he’s feeling down, and they make him feel like he’s one of their own. They teach him how to be a good bear, and help him learn how to live in the world.
