Surface Episode 5
Sophie is a young woman who suffers from memory loss after a traumatic suicide attempt. She is employed as a data entry clerk at a company in San Francisco. Sophie’s job is to input data into computers, but she often forgets what she has written and ends up losing important information. One day, she suffers a mental breakdown and can’t remember anything from the previous day. The company decides to send her for therapy, but Sophie can’t seem to focus on the sessions. She starts to feel like she is being watched and her mind starts to race faster than usual. When she returns to work, her mind is still foggy but her body feels more alert. Sophie begins to worry that someone was watching her and decided to kill herself because of it.
Sophie begins to question everyone around her as she tries to put the pieces of her life back together. But as she continues on, she starts to realize all is not what it seems. There may be more going on than she initially thought.
