Netflix has a library of international projects that are some of the best in the business. Whether it’s a new series from Brazil or Spain, or a movie from India or China, Netflix has something for everyone.
Netflix has quickly become the go-to streaming service for content lovers of all ages, with its vast library of movies, TV shows and documentaries to choose from. With Blood Sisters, the streaming service has created a unique series that feels like a natural extension on what Blood and Water offered last year. The series is set in a small town in Norway and follows the story of two sisters who are forced to work together in order to survive. The sisters are strong characters who are determined to make their way in the world and they use their skills and strength to survive. The series is full of action, suspense and heartbreak, making it an excellent choice for fans of crime dramas, telenovelas and Norwegian dramas.
The story of two sisters, one from South Africa and the other from Nigeria, who are forced to cross a border in order to find their brother who has been kidnapped by a group of bandits. Along the way they must outwit their enemies, solve puzzles and navigate through dangerous waters in order to save their brother.
The show is about a group of friends who go on wild adventures together, and while it has some familiar elements - like the characters being able to use their imaginations to come up with new ideas for adventure - it also has its own set of quirks and charms. If you’re looking for a soap opera with a bit more substance, this one may not be for you. But if you’re looking for something that will make your heart race and your head spin, then this one is definitely worth checking out.
Sarah and Kemi are two women who are about to get married. However, their husbands are abusive and don’t take kindly to them. Kemi tries to protect her friend, but it turns out that it’s not easy. As things escalate, Kemi is forced to do whatever it takes to keep her friend safe.
Sarah and Kemi must navigate the dangerous waters of the criminal underworld while dodging the attention of corrupt officials, a shadowy family feud, and a determined detective. With each twist and turn, Sarah and Kemi find themselves closer to the truth, but they also face ever-growing odds. Can they make it out alive?
The first season of “Stranger Things” is a great ride that introduces all of the characters and sends them on a journey across 4 hours. The story is well written and has a nice twist at the end.
Sarah and Kemi are the stars of the series, and seeing them grow and evolve together is easily one of the stand-out parts of this. There are deeper threads of societal pressure, physical abuse and the power imbalance of marriage thrown in for good measure, and these themes are nicely interwoven around the characters rather than thrown in for the sake of it.
Detective Joe, who feels like he’s been kicked out of a 1920s noir crime caper, sports a toothpick and the the obligatory jazz music playing on the radio. ..
Despite the setting change to Nigeria, Blood Sisters is still an enjoyable watch. The changed setting allows for this tried and tested story to feel somewhat unique and there are some definite stand-out moments too. ..
Some of the shots in Blood Sisters are stunning, others are a bit choppy and don’t quite look as good. However, overall the camera work is pretty good.
The camera work in the game is excellent, but it can be jarring when the camera swings wildly during some of the more tense moments. This can make it difficult to hear a character discuss the abuse she’s been subjected to. ..
If you’re looking for a show that’s both stylish and well-acted, Blood Sisters is worth checking out. The pacing is good, and the actors do a great job of portraying different characters. However, some viewers may find the show too simple or unengaging. Either way, if this is an indication of future African productions on TV, we’re all in for a good time!
