As the first series of " Essex College" begins, four friends find themselves at a new college, trying to figure out what it’s like to be students. Whitney is the soccer player who is weighed down by the pressure of being a senator’s daughter; Kimberly is the bookish one, previously at Essex on a scholarship; Leighton is the preppy rich girl hiding the fact that she’s gay; and Bela is the sex-obsessed comedian endeavoring to start her own Essex comedy magazine. Each friend has their own challenges as they try to fit in and make new friends. But even with all of their differences, they are all trying to figure out how to fit into their new college world.
