The Bullet
Yong Moon Gyu is informed of Won Ki Chun’s situation by a military prosecutor, who tells him that the soldier has been in a coma for two weeks and is not responding to treatment. Gyu is concerned for Won Ki Chun’s safety and decides to take action. He orders the military prosecutor to investigate the soldier’s case and find out what happened.
He feels that No Hwa Young is unaware of Cha Woo In’s identity, but No Hwa Young is already on the top of her game. She has been keeping tabs on Cha Woo In and that is how she found out about the secret video revealing Won Ki Chun’s reality as well.
Do Bae Man announces a press conference to discuss his relationship with the sole witness from the DMZ Mine Explosion incident, Gu Hyeon Suk. He visits Won Ki Chun offering him a last chance to confess everything. ..
Won Ki Chun is under immense pressure to reveal the name of the mastermind behind his family’s death. However, just as he is about to say the name, a nurse comes in and breaks the moment. Won Ki Chun does not say the whole name, just attempts to say ‘No’ which confirms Do Bae Man’s suspicions that No Hwa Young is the mastermind behind everything.
Do Bae Man meets Kim Han Yong and tells him about his brother’s case. Kim Han Yong agrees to have surgery and his brother is allowed in with Mr. Kang waiting outside. ..
Cha Woo In visits her boss and tells him that if he fails to issue an arrest warrant against Won Ki Chun then the consequences will be dire. She states all grounds for the warrant but he dismisses them. The sole witness from the DMZ Mine Explosion is on his way to the press conference when he is caught by Won Ki Chun. He is on the phone call with Do Bae Man and Bae Man hears everything.
Do Bae Man and his aunt handle the situation and lure the reporters to stay back for some more time? Cha Woo In manages to escape the military base and reaches the spot where Won Ki Chun has kept the sole witness. She is dressed in her classic ‘hunting’ attire of red hair, black clothes and black glasses. She instructs the witness to escape and reach the press conference. She hits the goons with blank rounds and fight ensues between them.
At the press conference, Mr. Kang takes evidence of bullets from Kim Han Yong’s skull and hands it over to Mr. Kang who takes it to the press conference. At the press conference, Seon Joo Hyuk, Cha Woo In’s boss, dresses in plain clothes and attempts to sabotage the press conference. Gu Hyeon Suk reaches the room and begins his statement but he’s cross questioned by the reporters. He cries and is scared but continues his narration.
Do Bae Man, a reporter for the news outlet, takes the conference ahead and plants the exact questions that could sabotage No Hwa Young’s plans. He shows the bullet removed from Kim Han Yong’s brother’s skull as well. The reporters lap up the news instantly. Cha Woo In on the other hand hits Won Ki Chun. ..
Minister Lee Jae Shik receives an angry phone call from No Hwa Young. Her position is highly threatened. Won Ki Chun visits her office and threatens to reveal all her wrong doings as well. She calls Staff Judge Advocate and informs him to arrest Won Ki Chun. He, in turn, replies that Do Bae Man and Cha Woo In’s penalties have been lifted by Commander Hong. When the military prosecutor personnel arrive to arrest Won Ki Chun, they find him dead. Won Ki Chun took his own life.
No Hwa Young and other members of the Patriotic Society have a meeting to discuss the recent events. The members severely criticize No Hwa Young for all that has happened, and the news of Won Ki Chun’s death reaches this party also. The news spreads across the country like wildfire. ..
No Tae Nam is met with a senior of his military posting who explains to him how to lead a military life. The senior calls No Tae Nam a ‘pretty boy’.
Do Bae Man and Cha Woo In meet up at the trial court room. They share a few words about their next plan. Since their plan with Won Ki Chun failed, Do Bae Man has some consolation prepared. It is a box of things collected from Won Ki Chun’s apartment and that leads them to a new clue.
No Hwa Young is questioned by Do Bae Man and Cha Woo In in the interrogation room. She answers each question with intelligence and poise. ..
The blame for No Hwa Young’s death falls squarely on Do Bae Man and Cha Woo In, as their excessive investigation led to the death of Yong Moon Gyu.
Yong Moon Gyu settles a verbal blow on Cha Woo In as he hands her the business card for IM Defense as the new CEO. She realizes that he knows everything about Cha Woo In and her past. He tells her that he has been following her for years and knows all about her past, which includes the fact that she was once a model.
The scene cuts to No Hwa Young in her cabin as she recounts her killing Won Ki Chun and staging it as a suicide. Then again the scene cuts to Do Bae Man at Commander Hong’s office as he thanks the commander for lifting the penalty. Do Bae Man pledges his loyalty to Hong and the episode ends.
