Hello Losers
What happens with Gunn?
In the eighth episode of Killing Eve Season 4, Eve confronts Gunn about her whereabouts from the previous episode. “You can’t have her, she’s mine.” Gunn rasps. Only, Eve overpowers her and runs away. ..
Eve scrambles up a tree, bides her time, and eventually pounces on the assassin, killing her with her bare hands. Villanelle watches on gleefully before the pair walk together. Despite gouging out Gunn’s eyes, the assassin is still alive and chases them down to the dock, where Eve and Villanelle snatch up a boat and leave for the mainland.
What do the tarot cards mean?
As Eve encourages her lover/enemy to come and meet The Twelve with her, she also warns them that it will be a dark and dangerous night. However, as the rain lashes their shelter, they’re forced to take refuge with two hikers for the night. It’s typical Killing Eve dark comedy as Villanelle and Eve learn about how these hikers met in their sickly sweet romantic tale. Eve and Villanelle exchange glances as they share a moment of intimacy.
Villanelle and Eve receive different tarot cards, with Villanelle receiving the Sun card and Eve receiving the Death card. This means that Villanelle will experience spiritual transformation, while Eve will face physical death. ..
After the argument, the two friends lay in bed and contemplate their next move. They smile as they realize they can steal the couple’s camper van and take off, a rare moment of peace in an otherwise chaotic life. ..
Do Villanelle and Eve finally kiss?
Eve and Villanelle get a ping on the new location, which happens to be a pub by M16. This explains the whole “barn swallow MI6 Pub” note Carolyn had earlier. ..
Eve and Villanelle’s sexual chemistry is finally given a chance to shine as they head down to London. Outside, they kiss passionately, which continues all the way back to their car as they head down to the city.
Does Pam get a happy ending?
Carolyn arrives at Heathrow Airport, traveling on to Hampstead Heath. There, she meets Pam who confirms that Konstantin is dead. Pam does pass along his message and note though, but as they’re about to leave, Carolyn encourages Pam to stick around, heading into the pub together.
Eve and Villanelle show up at the Barn Swallow pub not long after. While Eve talks to Carolyn, Villanelle finds out Konstantin is dead. Pam doesn’t reveal it was her who did it though, and eventually sits with Carolyn outside. Pam makes a big decision and chooses not to carry on with this assassin business and walks away scot-free, with no ramifications for her actions.
Where are The Twelve?
Eve and Villanelle are excited to attend the Twelve’s meeting location, but they receive a new message confirming that the meeting has been moved. The new location is actually nearby on a barge celebrating a wedding.
Eve blags her way into the ceremony, pretending to be marriage officiant. She actually does pretty well here, using her own knowledge of her ties with Villanelle to talk about strengthening bonds and relationships. She eventually encourages the pair to kiss and pronounces them husband and wife. However, this is not an official ceremony as Eve is not qualified. ..
Are The Twelve stopped?
As Villanelle plunges into the ship’s depths, she kills all of her fellow The Twelve.
As Eve and Villanelle hug each other outside the hospital, Eve lets her guard down and is shot in the back. As they both dive underwater, Eve is shot again and bleeds out. Eve tries to reach her but fails to do so, as she sinks to the depths of the river.
Who killed Villanelle?
Carolyn ordered the hit on Villanelle, and the unnamed sniper atop tower bridge was following orders from her. ..
Eve and Villanelle were brought together by She, but now She plans to tear them apart. ..
As Eve pokes her head up above the water, screaming to the heavens, an ugly, disgusting ‘THE END’ scrawls across the screen as this show comes to an unceremonious car crash ending.
The Episode Review
Wow, that was really bad. I mean, really bad. For anyone who cares to know. The series was written by a woman named Laura Neal this year.
The decision to bring in Sarah Paulson to write the final season of Killing Eve was a risky one, and it clearly didn’t pay off. Her writing credits span a few episodes here and there across different shows, but her experience and credentials don’t really stretch beyond that. It was always going to be a challenge to make her work on a show as prolific as Killing Eve, and it seems that she didn’t quite have the chops.
However, the show has done a poor job of following through on this. Villanelle is still a ruthless killer, but Eve is still the moral compass that guides her. This dichotomy has led to some really frustrating moments for viewers, as it feels like the writers are constantly trying to force one character into a mould that doesn’t fit them. ..
The finale of “The Walking Dead” feels like a complete betrayal of everything this show has stood for. The story is weak, and the ending feels like a betrayal of what was build up in the 8 episodes. I’m not sure what happened to make this finale feel so bad, but it didn’t feel good.
Laura Neal’s decision to defend her decision to abort her unborn child speaks volumes about her character. ..
Pam gets to have a happy ending because she killed Konstantin and her own brother. It would make more sense for Carolyn to have Pam killed when she rejected the offer of joining her, since she knows too much about this life. Does she not know that it is dangerous to keep Pam alive? ..
Eve’s desire to see Yusuf again and try to live a normal life is only made possible because of the time she spends with him in the flashbacks. Without that time, Eve would not be able to feel the same way about him as she does in the present.
Since The Twelve were announced, many fans have been wondering what will happen to Gunn. With the film set to wrap up production soon, it’s unclear what Marvel plans for him next. ..
The show has been plagued by inconsistency this year, with different tones and ideas never really coming together. There are so many loose ends that it’s hard to follow the story.
The finale of Killing Eve was disappointing. Laura Neal’s writing was poor. ..
