Our Thoughts:
So what did we see this weekend? A lot of K-drama, of course. But what else? We saw a new show, Our Blues, debuting on Jeju Island. It was a great show and it left us wanting more. We also saw the return of My Liberation Notes, which was satisfying but ambiguous in its end. Finally, we had some great action movies released this weekend!
The ratings for Our Blues and My Liberation Notes reflect the high viewership of these shows. Our Blues reached 11.8% on Sunday, while My Liberation Notes ended with a 6.7% viewership rating. ..
Netflix has released their latest list of the top 10 shows for 2018, and Bloody Heart has made it to number 6.6% on the list. This show seems to be more appealing to international audiences, which is likely why Netflix picked it up.
The Green Mothers Club ended this week with a boost in membership numbers, thanks to the launch of Insider. ..
Again, My Life also ended its run with episode 15 bumped up to 12%. It seems both netizens and avid watchers in Korea are digging law dramas, so we’ve got a plethora of them coming in June, including Why Her, which replaces this. ..
Overall, May has been a good month for K-Drama. Will June be able to top this? We’ll have to wait to find out! ..
