What is ‘The English’ about?
Cornelia Locke sets out on a journey to Wyoming in order to kill the man responsible for her son’s death. Along the way, she meets Eli Whipp, a Pawnee ex-cavalry scout looking to claim a piece of his Nebraska homeland. The two of them share a few interesting conversations, and eventually come to understand one another better. In the end, they both agree to work together in order to achieve their goals.

While we don’t think The English will be renewed, there’s still potential to further flesh out the historical series. If it is renewed, the show could follow Eli or Cornelia in years before the time skip at the end of season 1. Or perhaps a second season could introduce new characters.
