This series is one of those that you should take your time with – although the desire to binge is strong. The story is interesting and the characters are well-drawn, but it can be a bit slow to get into.

Has 1899 been renewed for season 2?
Netflix has renewed At the time of writing, 1899 for a second season. Given the nature of the show’s content, that could well change if it does good numbers for Netflix.
Netflix has a number of factors that it takes into account when renewing a show, including how many people initially watch it and then how often they stop watching it.
