Candles In The Dark
Michal is relieved and happy, but Anna is worried. She knows that Adam might have been kidnapped and she wants to do everything possible to find him. Michal tells her that he’s going to be okay and they hang up.
As they head into the police station, the couple check it over and notice it’s bloodstained. Is it Adam’s? That’s unclear right now as the police haven’t done a DNA test just yet. What is clear, however, is that there’s definitely some foul play going on here.
At this point, it’s safe to assume they’re both going to declare Adam missing. Interestingly, just prior to this the police receive a visit from Renata’s worried husband, who declares his wife missing. Quite a few disappearances here aren’t there? Maybe the police should put something out to the rest of the community to let them know?
Kaja is concerned about her friend Adam, and she prints out a lot of flyers in an effort to find out what’s going on. She knows Adam and this lack of contact is not normal behavior, so others in the school are also putting up flyers.
Anna and Beata find candles all laid out in the exact spot where Igor was found. They believe this to be Adam’s doing, as he could not look at her in the eye last time they met.
Beata believes that the location where Adam and Igor were arguing is where the flashback to the night of the party took place.
Someone reports an abandoned vehicle which has been left in the parking lot of a motel for two days. At the same time, a woman heads in to a pawnbrokers looking for a tablet. She even offers up sexual favours in order to get that information. She eventually obtains it and hands it over to that cap-wearing guy we saw before. They receive a crucial name in their hunt: “Nikola Reszke.”
Anna meets Pawel and requests his help to dig deeper into Igor’s death. As they head to the underground club location, the man she fought with that night just so happens to walk past at that moment. Anna decides to follow him but loses him and eventually heads home emptyhanded.
Anna and Laura shift their attention to each other as they reveal to the couple that night that Adam was full of rage and believes something happened that stopped him from trusting adults. And it seems whoever is behind this, it stems from this codename of Guru. ..
The bouncer outside the underground club believes that this Guru is actually the name of a youth center. When she and Michal arrive, they find the familiar paintings up on the wall (the same ones from Adam’s room). The Guru tells them that he is not the Guru, but instead someone who helps people find their way in life.
Michal and Joanna share a moment of understanding and comfort as they both realize that this was not their intention.
As the episode reaches its crescendo, the deceased is officially identified as Marianna. The strange man and woman from before kidnap Nika as she leaves her friends. At the same time, Anna receives a message from Adam’s phone.
The Episode Review
The latest development in this case is that the kidnappers have been using a dance routine as a way to get information from their captives. It’s not clear why they’re doing this, but it seems like it’s just a way to get people to talk.
The mystery of why so many people have gone missing in this small town is intriguing, but the police have been strangely inactive. It’s hard to believe that they’re not doing more to find out what happened to these people, given how many have gone missing. There’s no press conference and there’s not really much urgency either, which makes it all the more puzzling.
Despite the flaws, I found this book to be interesting and I’m looking forward to where the story will go from here. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely worth reading. If you’re interested in reading this book, please continue on.
