Disney has announced that Cruella De Vil will be the new star of its live-action remake of Sleeping Beauty. The film, set to release in 2019, is being directed by Peter Jackson and will feature a cast including Emma Roberts, Eva Green, and Rupert Grint.

101 Dalmatians (1996)
In 1996, 101 Dalmatians was released as a deliciously camp and cheesy remake of the 1951 children’s movie, Dalmatians. It’s not an especially outstanding film but it is an enjoyable family feature nonetheless.
The story follows the lives of Roger and Anita as they try to make a living as computer game designers and fashion designers, respectively. Their dogs Perdita and Pongo don’t talk, but do act out all their scenes well.
When Cruella inevitably shows up, Pongo and Perdita are forced to come to the rescue and get their puppies back before she slaughters them. ..
This live-action remake of the 1995 movie Home Alone is a great fun movie. It has slapstick humour, plenty of Home Alone-esque pranks and a pacey screenplay.

Maleficent
Disney’s Maleficent is a beautiful, pure-hearted young woman who was misunderstood by others. She was forced to do dark things to survive, and now she seeks revenge on those who wronged her.
When invaders arrive and threaten the peace and harmony of her land, Maleficent suffers a ruthless betrayal, setting her on the path to villainy.
In order to revenge herself on the newborn Aurora, Maleficent must face off against the new King’s successor, who has placed a curse upon her infant. This battle results in Maleficent placing a curse upon him that will cause him to die in infancy.
The film does take some liberties with Maleficent’s character, but fans of Disney should find enough to like here.
