If you’re looking for something less animated but more sci-fi orientated, Will Smith’s I, Robot definitely has more than a few similarities to The Mitchells VS The Machines. Most notably, its story beats and attitude toward technology are similar. ..

Wall-E

Wall-E is a well written dystopian tale with a lot of warnings around humanity’s future. It tells the story of a robot who is sent to Earth to find his family, only to find that the world has changed so much that they are no longer able to return home. Wall-E must figure out how to survive in a world where humans have stopped caring about him and where he is the only thing left.

As the clean-up robot begins its work, it becomes clear that there is a lot of rubbish on Earth. It seems like everything has been left behind by humanity, and the robot is quickly overwhelmed with the task of cleaning up the mess.

Wall-E is a charming and endearing film that tackles some heavy themes. It has a strong future setting, and is perfect for those looking for a good sci-fi movie. ..
